CLASSIC COURSES
1st: Choose your level
A1 or A2 – Beginner
This level is for you if you are new to German or have limited experience with the language. At the end of this level, you should be able to communicate and understand basic sentences.

B1 or B2 – Intermediate
This level is for you if you have a good knowledge of the basics of the German grammar and can understand and be understood in simple sentences. At the end of this level, you should be able to understand and speak about complex topics and your field of specialization.

C1 or C2 – Proficient (Advanced Level)
This level is for you if have a very solid understanding of the German grammar and can communicate somewhat fluently in and understand more complex topics. C2 is the highest level of language assessment, and passing it means you are able to express yourself correctly without any problems and should be able to understand pretty much everything in any context.

Refer to the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR) of the Council of Europe for more detailed information on the language levels.
2nd: Choose your style
Textbook based
Courses are based on a modern textbook, but still adapted to your needs, abilities, and interests. This gives you the advantage of a more structured learning experience and works well if you prefer a more traditional way of learning. (I like to work with the publisher Cornelsen: Das Leben A1 but I have experience with all big publishers.)

Independent Syllabus
Courses are based on an independent course syllabus designed by me, which focuses 100% on your needs, abilities, and interests. This gives you the advantage to directly influence your learning content and the flexibility to focus on certain parts. This course works well if you like more freedom in your learning experience.

SPECIAL COURSES
Focus ON Conversation
A course to focus on your abilities of understanding and expressing German orally. This course can start as early as the A2 level, but is recommended from level B1, in which it can be conducted nearly completely in German. Offered are freestyle conversation classes or courses with a curriculum of topics recommended by me or chosen by you.

Focus ON Grammar

A course to focus on your understanding and usage of the German grammar in general or with a focus on specific parts. This course can be offered on any level but works best if you have completed the Beginner’s level of A2. According to your preference this course can be conducted in English or German.
Focus ON Writing
A course to focus on your German writing skills whether on a professional level or for creative writing. This course can start as early as the A2 level but is recommended for levels starting from B1. Offered are classes with a free range of topics or courses which focus on a selected range recommended by me or chosen by you. According to your preference this course can be conducted in English or German.

Focus ON Reading

An accelerated grammar course to focus on German research skills that prepare you to read and translate scholarly texts in German. You will gain a fundamental knowledge of basic German grammar and vocabulary while developing reading comprehension and translation skills by working intensively with authentic texts in German. No previous experience with German is needed and according to your preference this course can be conducted in English or German.
Focus ON Test Prep
The most common German language examinations are Goethe Exam (including TestDaf for students), telc language exams, as well as DSH (for students) , and specific for Austria the ÖSD. This course gives you a solid preparation for the exam of your choice, so you can pass the tests with ease and confidence. I can help you choose the right examination and level for your individual need and according to your preference this course can be conducted in English or German.

Focus ON Business

A course of Business German to focus on the formal language style spoken in professional environments and workplaces. Apart from the linguistical aspect it includes intercultural training of German business culture and etiquette. This course is best to start from the B1 level and can be conducted in German or English upon request.
Survival German
Are you planning to move or planning a trip to Germany? This is a course to not only prepare you linguistically for your stay in Deutschland but to also to introduce you to the cultural and bureaucratic hurdles which await you. This is also the perfect course to learn more about German culture and lifestyle without the need to travel abroad. Conducted mainly in English with an introduction to German language basics.
